I had a holiday get together here with extended relatives a little over a month ago. My relatives from the area recommended this restaurant. When the owner walked in, my cousin recognized him as the owner of another Flushing Chinese restaurant where she got married 30 years ago. Suffice to say he's an old hand and knows how to run the show. The food here was really good and the prices amazing. We had a prefix menu and private room and ended up paying around 30 per person for a colossal meal with leftovers that included lobsters, flounder, steak, jumbo shrimp with walnuts, and banquet E-fu noodles and fried rice. There was also karaoke, though you have to be able to navigate the Chinese language interface. They have an attached indoor parking garage that is complimentary if you get your ticket stamped at the restaurant. The downside is that you have to give up your keys to the valet and though they are far from customer friendly, they expect a $5 minimum tip.
Hidden gem discovered due to my aunt living nearby. I've only been here for dim sum with my family during the weekends. The restaurant, itself, is very spacious. Food in particularly dim sum is amazingly delicious! There is a good reason why I keep on going back for more of their dim sum. Wink wink hehe It gets crowded during the weekends, so I suggest going early, possibly before 12pm. There is a private parking lot on the first floor. Remember to tip them after you pick up your car! Only downfall is the bathroom, but it's bearable and the good outweigh the bad. Just watch out for wet floors!
It's a good place for dim sum. As parking could be difficult in this part of the town, the underground parking lot helps a lot. We reserved a private room for a family gathering. Usually, we'd see staff pushes the carts around with food on it, but since we were sitting in a private room, we just ordered off their menus. The food tasted great. We ordered the typical dim sum dishes and they were authentic. Not to mention the tea they served us was good. Nothing like the cheap-tasting teas they serve in the other places. One good thing about our private rooms is it comes with our own private KTV machine. The song selection was great because I can actually find songs I can relate to from years ago, which is great.
Found another good spot in flushing! Food is pretty yummy here for dinner! I recommend these dishes below. Great for sharing so come hungry! Fish Maw Soup with Crabmeat Hot & Spicy Jelly Fish Head Lamb chop onion garlic Pork Chop Peking Style Prawns with walnuts and broccoli Snow Pea Sprout and Chop Garlic They'll finish the meal up with some red bean sago pearls and fruits! Go try it if you're in the area and looking for a place to go. They also have valet parking so it's very convenient.
Typical dimsum spot. But had the advantage of a parking lot downstairs. Very standard fare. Good staples, good variety. Nothing was amazing, and nothing was terrible.
